BTA Mandate

(a) To be the supreme authority on matters of Tennis in the country and to
control all aspects of the game by taking such steps as are necessary
to ensure compliance with its Constitution, rules, regulations, standing
orders of CAT, IF and the laws of the game as promulgated by CAT and
ITF.

(b) To promote the development of the game of Tennis throughout
Botswana at all levels and ages for both able-bodied and disabled men
and women.

(c) To apply for affiliation to and to represent the Association at such other
organizations as the Committee or Annual General Meeting may decide
from time to time.

(d) To perform the functions of the National Governing Body for the sport
of Tennis and to make, amend, uphold and enforce the rules of Tennis
in compliance with rules, regulation, standing orders and the laws of
the game as promulgated by ITF and CAT.

(e) To advance, promote and encourage interest in and teaching of Tennis
and preserve integrity and independence of Tennis as a sport in
Botswana generally and to do all things directly or indirectly conducive
to these objects.

(f) To arrange and regulate regional and National tournaments and inter
club league matches.
